Scout Network & Fellowship

Network gives opportunities to 18-25 year olds who have an interest in scouting, their own personal development and having fun. Scout Network saw a relaunch in 2016, has its own website and gives members the opportunity to take part in projects that are happening across the country.

Although young people staying in scouting past 18 take on a leader warrant, being part of the network allows them to work with other people the same age, share ideas and learn new skills which they can then share at weekly section nights in their leadership roles.

This is an important section as part of the youth involvement strategy where “Scouting is shaped by young people in partnership with adults”

Our District Network Commissioner, Liam Scott, is currently working hard with network members in North Ayrshire and Arran at organising events for Networkers to socialise, learn new skills and get the most out of Scouting. Some recent highlights have been Network Secret Santa, Network does Countdown and the Scottish Network Burns Supper which was hosted by the North Ayrshire and Arran Network. If you’re aged between 18 and 25 and would like to become a network member or leader, please get in touch.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
