Explorer Scouts

The District has Units throughout from Skelmorlie,  Beith, Kilbirnie, Kilwinning,  Bourtrehill, Isle of Arran and the 3 towns (Saltcoats,  Ardrossan and Stevenston).

Each Unit runs its own active programme as well as taking part in District events such as:

• Indoor Games Night
• Jamboree on the Air (JOTA)
• 5 a side Football
• District Camp
• District Orienteering Competition

Explorer Scouts have taken part in Jamborees, the Blair Atholl Jamborette, international camps, trips abroad, permit courses, the Explorer Belt and of course the Queen’s Scout Award.

Units and their members are actively involved in youth-shaped Scouting by having a say in the variety of events that are organised in the district as well as deciding what activities are carried out on a weekly basis as part of their units.
