Young Leader Scheme

The District runs Young Leader Module A course twice a year in Spring and Autumn for all Explorer Scouts and for any young person aged between 14 and 18 years of age.

Each Scout Group who has a young leader assisting with a section must register this Young Leader using the forms as attached, with the District via the District Explorer Scout commissioner who will then monitor their training needs.

The District is currently working with other Districts within the Region to run a weekend training course to allow the young Leaders to complete the other training modules required. Group sections are responsible for ensuring that the Young Leader completes the challenges and first aid training.
